Scallop Charters leave Crystal River 7:00 AM Daily

We will board our boats at 7:00 AM to begin our journey down the scenic Crystal River to the prime scalloping grounds found in the shallow water grass flats of the Gulf of Mexico. Our scalloping charters along the unspoiled shores of Crystal River and Homosassa provide an adventure to scallop fishers of all ages. The 2012 scallop season will open on July 1^st and will run through September 10th. Our scalloping adventures are part snorkeling experience and part treasure hunting as you seek out those scrumptious scallops nestled in the grass of our clear Gulf waters. While snorkeling along the surface searching for your scallops, you will be amazed at the beautiful sights; the abundance of undisturbed marine life, aquatic plant life, sea sponges, and coral that add up to an adventurous and unforgettable day suitable for all ages. If you can swim, you can scallop! Fun for the entire family!

The prime scalloping grounds off of Citrus County offer crystal clear water. We find the Scallops in the shallow water, most of the time in less than 5 feet making this a suitable activity for both adults and children. Because of the abundance of scallops in our waters, Citrus County has become a prime-scalloping destination along the nature coast. River Ventures scalloping charters leave Crystal River at 7:00 AM, and return to the docks at around 2:00 PM, daily throughout the scallop season. Our scalloping charters are complete, just bring your towel, bathing suit, and sandwiches if you desire, we will provide the rest.
